Dental Braces and orthodontic treatment are used to correct “bad bites,” or malocclusion (teeth that are crowded or crooked). In some cases your teeth may be straight, but your upper and lower jaws may not meet properly. These jaw or tooth alignment problems may be inherited or could result from injury, early or late tooth loss, or thumbsucking.
Types of Dental Braces
Metal braces are the most commonly used type of braces. The system involves brackets that are glued to each tooth.
Ceramic braces are not as visible as metal braces. They are are not as strong as metal braces and are a bit more expensive, but they keep your smile looking great.
Lingual braces are attached behind the teeth so that they’re not visible when you smile.
Clear braces are virtually invisible. These alignment trays are created from molds and can be removed for brushing and flossing. We use the brands INVISALIGN and CLEAR CORRECT to perform orthodontic movement with clear braces.
