The Creating Smiles Dental team is collecting Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift boxes.
Good News. Great Joy.
Turn in by November 7th.
We like to help local charities and do good in our own community in St. Petersburg, but Dr. Brayer heard about the good that comes from giving gifts to children who do not get to have a Christmas in other parts of the world and had to help. We are providing plastic shoebox sized boxes for you. Come pick one up and fill it up!
How to pack the shoebox
- Pick up a plastic box from us or use a shoe box.
- Decide if it will be for a boy or a girl then choose the age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14
- Fill the box with a variety of quality gifts that will delight a child
- Drop off here by November 7th and we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll include a toothbrush.
do NOT include used or damaged items, war related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; seeds; chocolate or food; out-of-date hard candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snowgloves or glass containers; aerosol cans
That’s what kids want for the holidays, so let’s share that joy in other areas of the world. Start with a central item that a child will cherish, like a beautiful doll, a deflated soccer ball with a pump and needle, or a plush stuffed animal. Then add quality items like cars, musical instruments, puzzles, jump ropes, etc.
School supplies, note books, pencils, pens, pencil sharpeners, crayons, non-liquid hygiene items, washcloths, combs, bar soap, accessories, socks, flip-flops, t-shirts, hair bands, sunglasses, blankets, finger puppets, stickers, small tools, tape measures, sewing kits, fabric squares, solar calculators, siscors, jewelry, etc. A personal note and/or photo of your family or group would be nice. If you include yur name and address, the child may be able to write back.
